

Fayetteville - Ret. Master Sgt. Richard Lawson, 84, of Fayetteville went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 18th, 2015. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam and Korean Wars.
He is survived by his sisters Mary Ellen Davis (Jack) and Ann Cooper both of Indiana, his brother-in-law David Barker of Virginia, his son Duane Lawson of Virginia, his grandchildren Amber Jones (Mitch) of North Carolina, Marshall Maynor of North Carolina, Amber Blevins (Joel) of Tennessee, and Richard Scott Lawson of Virginia, nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Joan Barker Lawson, and his children Dawn Lawson Maynor, Dana Lawson, and three children whom passed at infancy.
The funeral service will take place at Reeve’s Funeral Home on December 22nd, the viewing will be from 1:00pm to 2:00pm with the memorial service to follow. His burial will take place in Virginia therefore, in lieu of flowers send donations to Reeve’s Funeral Home of Hope Mills, NC.
