Terry Dean Evans

Mr. Terry D. Evans, age 78 of Dunn died Monday Evening, February 13, 2023 at Durham Veterans Hospital in Durham.

Terry was born June 29, 1944 in Central Lake, Michigan and was the son of the late Herman Evans and Nora Allers Evans and is preceded in death by a son, Matt Evans. He is also preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers.

Terry was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during Vietnam and then he was in the National Guard. He was Ferrier by trade spending most of his life shoeing horses.

He enjoyed the outdoors, riding horses and going camping. He was a family man, who loved his wife, children and most of all his 5 grandsons.

A Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Lee's Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Beasley and Rev. Roy Johnson officiating.

He is survived by: His Wife of 53 years: Carolyn Whittenton Evans of the home.

A son: Mark Evans and (wife) Jamie of Dunn, NC.

Grandsons: Dylan, Austin, Wyatt, Levi and Dalton.

Granddaughters: Mallory and Arianna

Brother: Robert Evans of Central Lake, Michigan.

Sisters: Laura Evans of Central Lake, Michigan; Leona Reed of Traverse City, Michigan; Lois Shisler of Eaglewood, Colorado and Linda Talbot of Central Lake, Michigan

Several Nieces and Nephews and a host of friends.

The Family will receive friends Friday Evening, February 17, 2023 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home in Dunn.
