
Torris Roman Ferguson was born to James and Claudia on October 2, 1972, and passed away on June 28, 2026, at the age of 53. Throughout his life, Torris carried himself with steady purpose—grounded in faith, strengthened by hard work, and marked by a generosity that showed in both quiet moments and meaningful commitments.
He graduated from East Forsyth High School in 1990 and later earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from North Carolina Wesleyan College in 2007. These milestones reflected a determined spirit and a willingness to do the work required to build a strong foundation for the years ahead.
Since 2022, Torris served as a consultant for NC Works. In this role, he brought a sense of responsibility and leadership to his work, approaching each day with diligence and a sincere desire to contribute in ways that mattered.
Torris was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Torria Ferguson; his children, Chakour Jones, Nadir Jones and his wife, Rara, Cameron Ferguson, Miles Ferguson, and Ashton Ferguson; his grandchildren, Alayna and Viola; his parents, James Fuller and Claudia Fuller; his siblings, Marsha Fuller and Josh Fuller; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. His life was anchored by the people he loved, and he gave of himself freely to support and uplift those around him.
In his personal time, Torris found joy in fishing, going to the beach, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed sports of all kinds and took pride in woodworking. He also took special care in making his home beautiful—an expression of the steady, hands-on devotion that shaped so much of his life.
Torris was a member of Manna Church in Hope Mills and participated in Serve Days with Manna Church through volunteering and community outreach. His faith was not only something he held, but something he lived—through service, generosity, and a consistent commitment to others.
Torris Roman Ferguson will be remembered with deep respect and gratitude—for the life he built, the love he gave, and the example he set through faithful service and steadfast leadership.
