Ursula Greiner Dooley

On Tuesday, October 16 , 2018, Ursula Greiner Dooley, loving wife and mother of nine, passed away at age 91. Ursula was born on October 05, 1927 in Gotha-Siebleben, Germany. She married her husband Joseph on February 6, 1954. Ursula received her American citizenship on December 11, 1959. Ursula was a wonderful matriarch who loved to bake and spend time with her children and grandchildren. She could often be found sharing a cup of coffee and advice with her children and grandchildren. When not with her family Ursula enjoyed working with her needlepoint canvas. Ursula also loved watching the Golden Girls, and playing scratch-off lottery tickets. She was known for her strong will, her dry humor, and her kind and compassionate spirit. Ursula was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edward Dooley, daughter, Dora Faye Davis, and son, Herbert Edward Dooley. She is survived by; daughters Eva Holroyd and husband Steve, Dian Bock and husband Andy, Ursula Lohn and husband Hal, Sonja Drews and husband Tim, Sandra Kilgore and husband Larry. She is survived by sons Jimmy Dooley and wife Joanne and Carl Dooley and wife stephanie. Ursula is also survived by twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation on Saturday October 20, 2018 from 11 o’clock a.m. to 1 o’clock p.m. at Reeve’s Funeral Home, 3308 N Main St, Hope Mills, NC 28348– with the service beginning at 1. The burial will take place at 2 o’clock p.m. at Cumberland Memorial Gardens, Raeford Road, Fayetteville. Flowers may be sent to Reeve’s Funeral Home.

One of my favorite memories of Memaw was all of the fun vacations we've been on. But the vacation that stands out the most was in Atlantic city NJ watching her and my mother play nickel and penny slots while keeping the old bittys at bay that were trying to steal their machine. Priceless...
