Vallie Bledsoe

Mrs. Bledsoe was born to the late Roland Johnson and Mittie Watts Johnson, January 31, 1929.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Reeves Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Neil Smith, Pastor Kim Chang and Pastor Tim Gore. Interment will follow at Gilmont Cemetery in Hope Mills.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Reeves Funeral Home before the service.

Vallie is a member of Victory United Methodist Church. She worked for Dr. James L. Reeves and Dr. Neil Worden many years and later retired from Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Central Supply. She is affectionately known as the "cake lady".

Vallie is survived by her two daughters, Alice Faye Hall and Pat Nichols and husband, Benny; three grandchildren Tommy Hall and wife Tonya, Amber Nichols Fortson and husband Mitchell, Chris Nichols and wife Grayson; six great-grandchildren, Jessica Yowell, Joseph Hall, Emory and Stewart Nichols, Jaxen and Casen Fortson.

Vallie is preceded in death by her husband Elbert T. Bledsoe as well as her great-granddaughter Crystal Hall.

The family wishes to thank Liberty Home Health Care & Hospice Services for helping care for Vallie over the last nine months.
