

Warren was extremely proud of his military career which spanned over 30 years. On November 6, 1952 at 17 years old, he volunteered and was accepted into the United States Army. His military career afforded him the opportunity to travel the world. He excelled in every endeavor he undertook. He learned four different languages, Japanese, German, Spanish, and Vietnamese in order to communicate in the many different countries he was stationed in. He was awarded The Soldier’s Medal, Bronze Star with V and three oak leaves, The Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry, two Bronze Stars, The Silver Star, and The Air Medal. He attended Category 2 Police Officers Training at the Utah Police Academy and completed the course on March 19, 1982. He was presented with The Legion of Merit by the United States Government. After 30 years and 24 days in the United States Army, he retired as Special Forces Sergeant Major on November 30, 1982.
Warren enjoyed hunting and fishing and passed those loves onto his children. He instructed karate and Chito Ryu, and studied Judo and Tae Kwon Do.
Warren is survived by his wife of 53 years, Tu Pochinski; his sons Thanh Pochinski and John Pochinski (Erin); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Pochinski, Jonathan Pochinski, Ashlynn Pochinski, Harper Pochinski, Kiera, Michael, and Maggie; and one brother, Eugene Pochinski.
Funeral Services will be held graveside at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery with Full Military Honors on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.
