Willa Dean M. Jackson, 85, of Coats, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 4, 2018. She was a member of Lee's Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Dunn. She was born in Johnston County to the late Jack and Ruby Grimes Matthews. She was preceded in death by her husband William R. "Doc" Jackson; son: William G. Jackson; brother: Grime R. Matthews; sisters: Doris M. Sills and Jessie R. Beasley and great-grandson: Dokata Jackson.
Willa Dean is survived by son Johnny R. Jackson and wife Jillaine; grandson: Brian Jackson; great-grandson: Colby Jackson.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Erwin Memorial Park with Rev. Randy Beasley officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 6:00P.M. until 8:00P.M. at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Johnny Jackson 5657 Red Hill Church Road, Coats, NC 27521.
