

After a few years of declining health, he suffered a heart attack on May 26, 2022. He spent several days in the hospital before returning home where he died peacefully in his sleep.
As a young man, after graduating from Pine Bluff High School Anthony joined the Navy and served in submarine service. When his tour ended, he was honorably discharged and returned to his home in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He was soon employed by the Cotton Belt Railroad and spend the next 42 years as a clerk until his retirement in 1987.
Anthony was proud of his Catholic Faith and obtained the Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
Anthony met the love of his life, Mary King who was also a clerk at the Railroad. They were married on July 12, 1973. He adopted and helped raise her two daughters, LaTricia and Cindy as his own. He was a very dedicated and loving father.
Anthony was preceded in death by his mother, Ada (Bastianni) Magnoni, his father Annibelli Magnoni and sister Leda Ann King.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; their two daughters, LaTricia Parsons (Paul Baker), Cindy Meyers (Andy); one niece, Stephanie Frase (Chuck); six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two great nieces; one great nephew; and four great-great nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be conducted at St. John’s Catholic Church, 589 West Grand Avenue, Hot Springs, Arkansas at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 22, 2022.
Private interment will be at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John’s Catholic Church, American Heart Association, or a charity of your choice.
