

Al was a member of Oaklawn United Methodist Church and previous to that was a member of White Hall United Methodist Church for over 30 years and also Good Faith United Methodist Church in Watson Chapel. He proudly started the "Pairs and Spares" Sunday school class at each of these churches.
Al graduated from Camden High School in 1960 and went on to attend Southern Arkansas University and Henderson State University where he received his BSE. Al spent his career as an educator with the White Hall School District for over 20 years teaching 9th grade civics.
Waiting for Al in heaven are his parents, his sisters and their husbands, Mary Cawthon (Bill) and Mona Williams (Elbert); and brother-in-laws, Walter Clack and Danny Baber.
His survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Beth Peterson; daughters, Billi Storz (Brian) of White Hall, Bobbi Rice of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Chance, Alison and Anna Storz, Mary Madison and Jenna Rice; sisters, Dorothy Clack of Camden, Jo Martin (George) of Joplin; brother-in-laws, Jerry Baber (Betty Jo) of DeQueen, Tim Baber of Hot Springs; sister-in-law, Ellen Baber of Hatfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
A visitation will be held Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at Oaklawn United Methodist Church with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Russ Breshears officiating.
Honorary Pall Bearers are nephews, Steve Clack, Daniel Baber, Nicholas Baber, Keith Hastey, Kevin Wagner and Cody Gibbs.
Memorials may be made to the Food Pantry at Oaklawn United Methodist Church.
