Anna Ruth Laribe, 75, of Hot Springs died on Wednesday, Jan 31, 2024. She was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas on March 19, 1947.
She lived a great life, full of knowledge, books, and love. She was not only a graduate of Hot Springs High School; she spent her 35-year career as an English teacher there as well. She touched countless Hot Springs lives as a teacher, a colleague, and a friend.
She is predeceased by her father, Woodrow W. Hassin, her mother, Gina Hassin, and her brother, Dr. Guido Hassin. She is survived by her husband, Harry W. Laribe, with whom she shared half a century of marriage, Cory Cox, her daughter, and her beloved grandson, Clint Cox. She is also survived by her close-knit sisters: Florice Hamilton, Teresa Rowe (Tom), and Alberta Gibbs (Jay). In addition, she is survived by her special nieces and nephews: Bryan Hassin (Katie), Austin Gibbs (Kristen), Spencer Rowe, and Natalie Hooe (Jeff) and their beautiful children who have completed her family. An aunt, Jennie Peck, a brother-in-law, Jack Laribe (Barbara), and a sister-in-law, Dr. Valerie Neal also survive.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Tim English, Seleta Rich from Elite Hospice, and the staff of Belvedere Nursing Home who treated her like their own mothers and grandmothers.
Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Gross Funeral Home, with a service directly following.
