Anthony Keith “Sparky” Zaunbrecher’s courageous battle with cancer lasted from 2018 until he passed away June 16, 2021. Despite the pain, Sparky came out a hero and stayed strong until the end. He was 40.
Sparky grew up loving baseball- playing as a youngster and coaching as a dad.
However, not everyone was aware of his recent culinary interests. Sparky had perfected his own take on the classic, “Hamburger Helper;” he would add only the best canned green beans. His refined palette often caused him to seek out the nearest Taco Bell, especially if something being served at a family gathering seemed unappealing.
Sparky will be missed especially by his partner in life and love, Lindi Viner; and his children Ethan, Taylan, and Tucker. He was an amazing father to his boys- playing games, coaching baseball, and reading stories.
Sparky was born in Monroe, Louisiana to proud parents, William Keith “Butch” Zaunbrecher and Dorothy “Dot” Cossey Zaunbrecher. They, as well as, his siblings Bridgett, Stephanie, Vincent, and John Thomas; many well-loved extended family members; and more friends than any one person should be allowed, have a difficult time imagining a world without the jokester brother, fun-loving little leaguer, and the bright light which his giggles and laughter always brought.
They will all remember him with a smile and honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
