Barbara D. Elmore

In the early hours of February 28, 2016, Heaven opened its gates and granted wings to a new angel. Barbara Dolores Clarke Elmore, born August 9, 1960 to Ed and Betty Clarke passed peacefully in her sleep and reunited with her youngest son.

Barbara was born in Gainesville, Florida and lived her adult life in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Her heart, however, was in her childhood home of the Panama Canal Zone in Central America. She was a lifelong lover of horses and all animals and she never met a stray that she didn’t make part of the family. Her greatest peace was found in the surf of any ocean shore.

She is predeceased by her parents, Ed and Betty Clarke, and her son, Christopher Patrick Elmore.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, David H. Elmore, daughter, Sarah Elmore, son Michael Elmore, daughter, Rebecca Copeland (George), son, Bryan Watts(Crystal), step-father Earl Irvin, sisters, Colleen Cann (Ron), Andrea Suit (Randy), Dori Barton (John), aunt and uncle, Jim and Ginny Bien, sister-in-law Claire Pemberton(Dwayne), sister-in-law Priscilla Elmore, brother-in-law Clayton Elmore(Jeri)grandchildren, Clarke Elmore, Layne and Keelie Elmore, Alec, Matthew, Jonathon, and Christopher Watts, Jeromy, Crise, and Heather Copeland, and 11 great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers are Allicyn Willix, Shannon Moore, Justin Suit, Jeremy Stevens, Ryan Stevens, Trevor Barton, Haleigh Barton, Matt, Ben, and Adam Pemberton, Hinton Murders, and Amanda & Megan Elmore.
