Bernard “Shorty” Pattyn Jr., 69, of Pearcy, AR passed away unexpectedly at his home. Shorty worked as a mechanic all his life and loved racing and tinkering on his race car. Shorty was preceded in death by his father Bernard “Pat” Pattyn Sr. and one sister Becky Hibbit.
He is survived by his mother Frances Wohlberg of Kansas City, MO, two sisters Jackie Johnson of Kansas City, MO, and Jill Jones of Kansas City, MO. Shorty has four children George Bernard Pattyn of Houston, TX, Ernie Pattyn of Pearcy, AR, Patrick “Pat” Pattyn of Arlington, TX, and Cynthia Lynn Pattyn of Hot Springs, AR. Shorty also is survived by seven grandchildren, Linda Anne, Katy, Marcus, Brendan, Briana, Gabe and Morgan Daniela.
He was loved and will be missed by all.
His family will have a Memorial Service at Gross Funeral Home of Hot Springs, AR on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. for all family and friends.
