Betty McQuay

Betty Ann McQuay was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was centered around her family, her faith, and serving others. She will be remembered for her caring spirit, her love for her family, and the many lives she touched throughout her life.

Betty was a graduate of Central High School in Pueblo, Colorado. She later worked as a workers’ compensation insurance adjuster.

Faith was an important part of Betty’s life. She was a member and parishioner of New Life Church, where she was actively involved in Life Groups and enjoyed serving the church. Her faith and love for others were reflected in the way she lived and cared for those around her.

Betty especially enjoyed sewing, serving her church, and spending time with her family. Some of her happiest memories were made while traveling on family vacations and watching her children and grandchildren grow. She treasured time spent together and the simple moments shared with the people she loved most.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Tony McQuay of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Tony and Betty were married on May 10, 1969, in Springfield, Missouri.

Betty is also survived by her children, Stacy Wooldridge of New Boston, Texas, and Sean McQuay and his wife, Annie, of Lakewood, Ohio.

She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Ryan Wooldridge and his wife, Leah, of DeKalb, Texas; Michael Wooldridge and his wife, Hollie, of New Boston, Texas; McKenzie Wooldridge of Irving, Texas; Reese McQuay of Lakewood, Ohio; Collin McQuay of Lakewood, Ohio; and Eve McQuay of Lakewood, Ohio.

She is also survived by her siblings, Jo Glenn of Pueblo County, Colorado, and Margie Schooley and her husband, Jim, of Belton, South Carolina, along with other extended family members and dear friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.

Those who knew Betty will remember her for her love of family, her dedication to her faith, and the joy she found in serving others. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
