

Beverly Ann Tallent, a devoted Jehovah's Witness, cherished member of the Hot Springs community and a beacon of care and compassion, passed away peacefully in her hometown of Hot Springs, AR, where she was born on April 25, 1944. Her life was a testament to her love and faith in Jehovah God, the love she shared with her family, the dedication she brought to her profession, and the joy she found in her personal interests.
Preceded in death by her father, Calvin York, her mother, Ida Mae (Tillery) York, her sister, Gloria York, and her beloved first husband, James O. Tallent, with whom she shared an enduring love and three wonderful daughters: Sherry, Mendy, and Cindy (Zach Hess) Tallent.
Her role as a grandmother was cherished by Dustin (Jennifer) Dawson, Miranda Dawson, Randall (DJ Ward) Clift, Rachelle (Austin) Dover, Amber (Zach) Ball, and Erik Clift. Beverly was also a proud great- grandmother to Cayden Dawson, Payten Dawson, Brooklyn (lsaiah Smith) Traylor, Kyndall Brown, Ryleigh Proctor, Luka Dover, and Aria Dover, and she held a special place in her heart for her great-great-grandchild, Magnolia Maria Jane Smith and her favorite nephew Michael Morphew Jr. (Karen) and their children Mia and Eli.
After the passing of her first husband, Beverly found companionship and joy with her devoted husband, Terry Jones, who provided love and support, and laughter during their time together. Terry's companionship was a source of comfort and happiness to Beverly, and together they shared many cherished moments.
Beverly's professional life was marked by an unwavering commitment to nurturing others. Her career in nursing spanned four decades from 1968 to 2008, during which she served as a licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), a charge nurse, and a treatment nurse, always focusing on long- term care. She began her journey in the medical| field as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) before attending nursing school, where she honed the skills that would make her a beloved caretaker to so many.
Her work ethic and compassionate nature left an indelible mark on her colleagues and the many lives she touched through her nursing career, Beverly's dedication to her patients was unparalleled, and her gentle demeanor brought comfort and solace to those under her care.
Outside of her professional life, Beverly's interests brought her much joy and enriched her life in countless ways. She was an avid collector and fan of Elvis Presley, finding delight in the music and memorabilia of the King of Rock 'n' Roll. Her enthusiasm for the television series Kojak, starring Telly Savalas, was well-known among her friends and family, who often joined her in watching the classic show.
Above all, Beverly adored her fur-babies, who provided her with companionship and unconditional love throughout the years, her pets were not just animals; they were a part of her family.
Beverly Ann Tallent lived a life filled with purpose, love, and kindness. Her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her and were touched by her generous spirit.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday July 30, 2025 at Gross Funeral Home with Celebration of Life to follow at 2:00 pm.
