

Yvonne Ruth “Bonnie” Wilson, 89, of Hot Springs passed away on Tuesday October 25, 2016. She was born in Iowa in January of 1927. She grew up in Detroit, Michigan, where her parents migrated to when she was an infant.
She met her loving husband Bobby Wilson after his discharge from the U.S. Navy soon after WWII. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on September 9, 2016. They retired to Hot Springs from Rockford, Michigan, in 1987.
During their retirement Bonnie was a member of several clubs and organizations including, Hot Springs Wildlife Extension; Homemakers Club; VFW Ladies Auxiliary and she was also a past member of the DAR. Bonnie also volunteered at Jackson House for many years, she was a volunteer poll worker for Garland County for several years and she also volunteered for many duties and functions at First Lutheran Church where she was a member since retiring to Hot Springs.
She is survived by her husband Bobby; five children, Gale Norris, Robbie Zimmerman, Martha Karris, Tobe Wilson, of Michigan and Nora Judis of Colorado; 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A Celebration of Bonnie's Life will be held at First Lutheran Church on Saturday, November 5th, at 10:30 a.m.
