Brenda Kay Walker

Brenda Kay Walker, 73, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021.

She was born December 29, 1948 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the late Ernest & Geneva (Duke) Walker, and was a graduate of Hot Springs High School. At the age of 21 Brenda enlisted in the U.S. Navy. While serving she became a Radiologist, which became her life long career, along with teaching radiology at National Park Community College. She was an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority.

One year Brenda and her friends took a vacation to Alaska. When she returned to Hot Springs, she sold her house and moved to Bethel, Alaska where she worked for many years. The town was so remote that the only way in was by plane.

Brenda was a loving sister to Ernestine Roper and Charles Walker, and a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews.

I am so sorry to see the loss of Brenda. We were such great friends and grew up together. I know she is in a much better place and at peace now. Growing up we had so much fun together . From mud pies, bicycle riding and just being kids. Your family is in my prayers and find comfort knowing we will meet again. Wishing you all find comfort during this most difficult time. Love and hugs to all of you.
