Carol Sue Lacey

Carol Sue Lacey passed away on June 25, 2026, at CHI St. Vincent Hospital, at the age of 81.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Edward Lacey, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage; her parents, Ester and Loy Seaton; and her siblings, Katherine Harper, Wilber Lee Seaton, Charles Seaton, and Hugh Roy Seaton.

Carol was a woman full of personality—feisty, funny, and truly a joy to be around. She had a quick wit and a big heart, and those who knew her best would say she was “a hoot” in the very best way. She grew up on a farm and she was incredibly sharp, resourceful, and wise in the ways that mattered most in life.

Above all, Carol loved her family deeply and made her home a place of warmth and togetherness. She especially enjoyed hosting family dinners and holiday gatherings, and no one ever left her house hungry if she had anything to do with it. Her table was always full, and so was her heart.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Penny Sue Beshears and Thomas Franklin Lacey; and her grandchildren, Dalton James Beshears and partner Autumn McClendon, Shelby Nicole Loughary and husband Hunter Loughary, Tex Lacey, Jack Edward DeWayne Lacey and wife Rachel Lacey, and Thomas Franklin Lacey Jr. She is also survived by her cherished great-grandchildren: Carter James Loughary, Daxton DeWayne Loughary, Tate Alan Loughary, Brooklyn Lacey, and Michael Lacey; along with numerous extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Carol’s legacy lives on in the love she gave, the laughter she shared, and the strong family bonds she helped build and hold together.

Visitation will be held at Gross Funeral Home, Chapel, 120 Wrights St, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71913, on July 2, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A Memorial Service will be held at Gross Funeral Home, Chapel, 120 Wrights St, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71913, on July 3, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

A Graveside Service will be held at Ten Mile Cemetery, Ira Williams Rd, Lonsdale, AR 72087, on July 3, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm, and Ten Mile Cemetery, Ira Williams Rd, Lonsdale, will be her final resting place.

Active pallbearers will be Dalton Beshears, Will Snyder, Jack Lacey, Tex Lacey, Lynn Beasley, and Lindsey Stillman.
