Please accept my condolences. I met Charles Matthews for the first time few years ago (2012), while visiting Hot Springs with my Uncle Don and Aunt Susan Matthews (Don and Charles Matthews/first cousins). We stopped by his home and visited for a while. He was so full of joy and blessings. He shared many family memories; toured us around his home. My thoughts and prayers go out to his daughters, family and friends.

I will always cherish my memories of Uncle Charles; from spring break camping trips, fishing with him and my Papaw to showing his beloved Polled Herefords at the fairs. I loved spending time with him and I thought of him as a second Grandpa. As ornery and stubborn as he could be at times he had a big kind heart. I loved him and am truly sorry for your loss.

Mr. Matthews was my neighbor since I was 6 years old. He always had a smile and hello for anyone he seen. He will be missed in the Sunshine community.
