

He is survived by his brother Tom Putnam,101, of Oswego NY, his daughter and son in law, Terri and Scott Seller of Hot Springs, AR , his son and daughter in law, Chuck and Claudia Putnam, of Frisco, Tx, grandchildren, Ali & Beau LeGrand, Corey and Logan LeMaster, Brett & Gretchen Seller, Zac Putnam & Christina Pugliese, Jake and Tori Putnam, Taylor Tuite and Lauren Tuite and great grandchildren, Avery LeMaster, Lottie LeGrand, Charlie Seller and Heidi Seller, along with many cherished nieces and nephews.
Charles was born in Oswego, NY on Feb 20, 1930. He was a lover of jazz music and served in the army band at Fort Chaffee, AR, where he met his precious Peg. They were married for 70 years before her passing . They lived in Fort Smith where he was an art director until they retired to Hot Springs to be closer to family.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Fort Smith where he served in the choir until moving his membership to First United Methodist Church of Hot Springs. He was a talented artist and spent his retirement years carving and painting birds that were gifted to his family and friends.. He loved his breakfast buddies, Dietrich and Virginia and had a morning home at San Francisco Bread Company.
Our family will be forever grateful to the wonderful caregivers who were with him until the very end. Beverly, Christeen, Luisa, Melissa, Leslie, Ashley and our anchor, Becky. You all gave him the best quality of life!
