

Chlorice “Kay” Nichols Ramsey, 100, of Royal passed peacefully at home on September 1, 2016. She was born in Hatfield, Arkansas on October 30, 1915 to the late Robert A. Nichols Sr. and Mary Alice (Fox) Nichols.
Chlorice was a homemaker and member of Second Baptist Church. She will always be remembered as a wonderful, loving and caring wife, mother and “Grandmom Kay”.
She finished high school at Mena and was Acorn elected Basketball Queen.
Chlorice worked at the American Pharmaceutical Association in Washington D.C. during World War II. She also did a great deal of volunteer work for the American Red Cross. She was always helping others and will be greatly missed.
Waiting for her in heaven is her husband, Charles R. Ramsey; son, Bradford Dean Ramsey; brothers, Ralph, Royce, Raymond and Robert Nichols; sisters, Marjorie McPhail, Bonnie Nichols, Juanita Fleming, Grace Cleveland and Gwen (Combs) Bridges.
Cherishing her memory are her son, Kenneth Gene Ramsey and four grandchildren Jeffery, Jennifer, Kayla, Matthew and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
