She is survived by her daughter and son, Sydney Montague (Christopher) and Patrick “Kyle” Moseley, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hooper, her sister Joanna, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Chrissy had a vibrant personality and a hearty laugh that audibly carried her kindness, compassion, and love of life. When not enjoying her garden or playing cards with girlfriends, you could usually find her visiting with her children, her greatest joy. Chrissy was an exemplary mother, an avid adventurer, an eclectic artist, and a stranger to no one. She created everlasting memories with her family, traveling to countless places, sharing the holiday tradition of eggs Benedict and Bloody Mary’s on Christmas, laughing around the table as someone says “draw 4” in a family game of UNO, and performing her “happy mama” dance while cheering herself on.
Chrissy also had a long and successful career in gaming management, spending over 15 years at Southland Gaming and Racing before her thirst for adventure led her to a new role at Oaklawn in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Throughout her tenure, Chrissy served as an inspiration for many young women working in male-dominated fields and was known for her professionalism and leadership. She will be missed by all those fortunate enough to work alongside and learn from her.
Her children would like to especially thank their father and Chrissy’s former husband, Scott Moseley, who served as both confidant and caregiver in Chrissy’s final days, their grandmother Patty and aunt Joanna for their care and support, and Chrissy’s many friends and colleagues who brought her happiness.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 3 pm on October 14, 2023, at the Moseley family home in West Memphis.
