

Chat had two brothers, and three sisters. He was married 66 years to his loving wife Lillian Chatelain.
He is survived by his children, Phillip Chatelain, Charles (Susan) Chatelain, and Susan (Larry) Young; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Chat served proudly in the United States Marine Corp during WWII and Korea. He provided for his family by his career at Reynolds Metals where he rose to the level of General Foreman and retired with over thirty years of service. He focused on proving for his family, and enjoyed gardening, playing cards, reading, making new friends, and being with family. He was known for putting other’s needs in front of his own.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Sunday, January 17th, 2016 at Gross Funeral Home. A celebration of Chat’s life will be held 11:00 AM., Monday, January 18th, 2016 in the chapel of Gross Funeral Home with Rev. Fred W. Hunter officiating. Entombment with United States Marine Corp honors will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.

Chat was a straight shooter, a man of great integrity, and touched many people throughout his life.
