Daniel Sherman Phillips

Daniel Sherman Phillips, 97, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024.

Dan Sherman was born December 8, 1926 in “Possum Kingdom” (Cedar Glades) to Marion and Mattie (Caldwell) Phillips.

He was predeceased by his wife Mildred (Castleberry), parents, brothers Roscoe, Kermit, Hershel and Clemit.

He is survived by son, Stanley Phillips (Karen), granddaughter Sara Halter (Alan), grandson Alex Phillips (Desire’), great granddaughter Mackenzie Phillips and brother Ottie Phillips.

Dan Sherman was a master welder by trade, worked many years at Weylands and retired from Harvey Engineering.

After retiring, he kept a beautiful yard with over 100 varieties of Iris’ and thousands of daffodils every spring. He loved to garden and shared his bounty with family and neighbors. He bowled on the same league at Central Lanes for 56 years.
