Darrell Sweeden

Darrell Wayne Sweeden (Cowboy) age 67 passed from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Oct 13th, 2025. Darrell was born on Aug 26th,1958, in Tulsa Oklahoma to Johnny Ray Sweeden and Patsy ANN Sweeden (Goodell).

Darrell was the ultimate Cowboy having rode in the PRCA circuit in his early years. Darrell loved all thing rodeo and would sit and talk about his rodeo days to anyone who would listen. Darrell's ability to recall even the smallest details about the bulls he rode, the rodeos he attended, and the other bull riders he met on the circuit was unmatched. Darrell had the uncanny ability to make everyone laugh and feel good about whatever was happening in their lives.

Darrell also enjoyed fishing and hunting and would go whenever he got the opportunity.

Darrell is preceded in death by his father, Ray, his mother, Patsy, and one brother, Johnny.

Those left to cherish his memory is his sister Patricia Ann Richard (Bill) of Valliant, Oklahoma, his brother Raymond of Millerton, Oklahoma, son Josh Sweeden and his wife Kelly of Foreman, Arkansas, niece Cherity Wallace (James) of Durant, Oklahoma, nephew Billy Ray Richard (Haley) of Valliant, Oklahoma, great niece Jatelyn Ferguson (Ryan) of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, great niece Hannah Richard of Valliant, Oklahoma, great nephew Connor Richard of Stillwater, Oklahoma, great niece Kamrie Richard of Valliant, Oklahoma, great nephews Stetson and Rylan also of Valliant, Oklahoma, one great-great niece Kaylor Ferguson of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, adopted sister Betty (Rudy) Richard-Adams (Brent) of Bauxite, Arkansas, and adopted nephew Easton Richard of Tull, Arkansas. Along with other friends and family.

If you had the joy of knowing Darrell then you knew he never met a stranger, and that he loved spending time with his family and reliving his bull riding years.
