David was born in Hot Springs, AR to Gary and Glenda (Dockery) Chunn. During his childhood, David enjoyed the outdoors and played as many sports as time would allow. He developed a love for hunting and fishing and became an avid angler. David and his brother, Troy, were close in age and spent many hours of their formative years furthering their love for the outdoors.
After graduating from Lakeside High School, David went on to study at the University of Central Arkansas before beginning his professional career at Arkansas Aluminum Alloys for over twenty years. During his tenure, David received multiple promotions and was in management when he resigned.
In 1988 David married Traci Tague and went on to have two children – Jade & Landon.
After years of marriage & dreaming of operating a business together, David & Traci formally started David’s Janitorial in 2001 servicing local school districts, businesses and employing a dedicated staff for twenty years.
Being a business owner allowed David time to pursue what he valued most – mentoring others, furthering his love for the outdoors and loving his family.
In his recent retirement, David enjoyed spending more time with his family, at his deer lease and traveling.
David is preceded in death by his father, Gary Dockery. He is survived by the love of his life, Traci, his mother, Glenda (Raymond) Chunn, grandmother, Florence Macon, brother, Troy, daughter, Jade (Clark) Johnson, son, Landon and two granddaughters, Nora and Ella.
