Deloris M. Ritter, age 80, of Hot Springs, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 26, 2026. She was born on January 25, 1946, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to William C. Ritter and Anna Marie Burris. She graduated from Hope High School in Hope, Arkansas in 1964. Deloris spent many years employed at Flowers Bakery in Hope as well as Lake Catherine Footwear in Hot Springs. She later retired after more than 30 years of service at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hot Springs.
Deloris found joy in photography, caring for her beloved pets, and listening to her extensive vinyl record collection. She was of Baptist faith.
She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Billy Joe Ritter, Carl Wayne Ritter, John Burton Ritter, and Fred Allen Green; and her sister, Gladys Marie Grebner. She is survived by her brother, Douglas Green (Stephanie) of Hot Springs; sister, Carolyn Nichols (Dan) of Holiday Island; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A visitation will take place at Gross Funeral Home in Hot Springs on Friday, May 1 from 5:00-7:00 pm.
A graveside service will follow on Saturday, May 2 at 10:00 am at Tulip Cemetery in Tulip, Arkansas with George Lynch officiating.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Shelton, Barry Hammons, Gene Kelley, Dwight Ritter, Nathan Ritter, Bill Ritter, and Brently Green.
Honorary pallbearers include the many special individuals who provided compassionate care and comfort to Deloris during her final illness, for which her family is deeply grateful: the staff of National Park Medical Center, Dr. Timothy Talbert and his team, Gentiva Hospice, Diane Wyles, and the staff of Lake Hamilton Health and Rehabilitation.
