Donald Jay Easley, 60, died November 4, 2018, just days before his 61st birthday. Born in Amarillo, Texas on November 15, 1957 to the late Howard Easley and Ruth Ball, Donnie was kind, honest, and loved his children without conditions.
Donnie did not use the scholarship he was awarded to OBU before finishing high school, choosing to start a family instead. His wife, Barbara, who preceded him in death, would often say jokingly Donnie was “so smart, he was stupid.” His intelligence he passed on to his children and grandchildren- all of whom he was so very proud.
Colorful stories, quick wit, and lots of laughing are what his children Kathy Deitz, Michael Deitz (Mandi), Katrina Hale(Steven), Kimberly Easley, Karrie Easley, Kristina Easley and Matthew Easley; seventeen grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; siblings Linda Thompson, Debbie Walters, Glen Easley, Nelda Irwin, and Rose Anderson will remember. He was predeceased by his brother, Timothy Easley.
