Dyanna Lee Nowak, 71, of Hot Springs, Arkansas left this earth on Sunday, November 29, 2020.
She was born June 20, 1949 in Liberal, Kansas to Wanna Hurrell & Robert Haller. At 6 months of age she was adopted by Calvin & Ocie McGee of Hugoton, Kansas. Dyanna went to school in Hugoton, Kansas. She was a police officer, a nurse and worked as a secretary for a sand company. She worked as a manager for Conoco for a few years.
Dyanna & her husband of 43 years, Lynn, made their home in Liberal, Kansas, Tyrone, Oklahoma and moved to Hot Springs in June of 2016. She loved her flower gardens, her yellow Harley Davidson, but most of all she loved her husband, two daughters & all her grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
Dyanna loved everyone& would do anything for her family. Every morning she would sit out on the porch with her loving husband & drink coffee while enjoying her birds. She also loved to turn up the music & do the “Jitterbug”, hence the nickname “Jitterbug”. Back in the day, she loved camping and backyard campfires. She had lived a life of a lot of pain through the years. She spent most days at home, where she passed peacefully.
She is preceded in death by her parents, adoptive parents, two sisters and one brother.
She leaves behind her husband Lynn of Hot Springs, daughters Kelli Thompson & husband Stacey, and Taressa Kaup & husband Jeff; grandchildren Michael Ryan, Christopher Rendeluk, Keira Marmolejo, Jordan Rendeluk, Jessica Rendeluk, Keelyn Nowak, Kyler Kaup, Shayla Kaup, Hayley Spears and Alli Smith; great-grandchildren Alessa, Makayla, Hunter, Sophia, Liam Wayne, Liam Christopher, Brielle, Kai, Eli, Ava, Aubreigh, Braelyn, Ty, Izac & one baby girl on the way, Kinsley Dyanna Johnson. Through the years Dyanna & Lynn had many exchange students, but 2 special ones are Luis & Juraj, who she considered her own.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday at Gross Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Teddy Frye officiating.
