

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edward Lee Jones, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left this world on February 27, 2025, at the age of 77. Edward was born on August 25, 1947, in Poyen, AR to the late Carlton and Elizabeth Jones.
Edward was a passionate hunter and fisherman, spending countless hours in the woods and on the water. He found solace in the serenity of nature, where he could connect with friends, share stories, and create lasting memories. Known for his patience and skill, Edward could often be found teaching children and grandchildren the art of fishing and hunting.
Edward was not only an avid outdoorsman; he was also a loving family man. He cherished time with his wife, Patricia, his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Especially Lexington who was his first granddaughter. He had a unique ability to make even the simplest fishing trip feel like an adventure filled with discovery and laughter.
Edward’s spirit was infectious, and his laughter could light up any room. He had a knack for storytelling, captivating audiences with tales of his outdoor adventures, whether exaggerated or not. He believed that every outing was a story waiting to be told, and he loved to share those experiences with anyone who would listen.
In addition to his outdoor pursuits, Edward was a devoted employee at Arkla Gas, where he dedicated 26 years of service. His work ethic and dedication earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Arnold Baker.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Patricia Jones; children Chris Riggan (Megan), Kristy Jones (Marvin) and William Jones (Allison); sister Judy Floyd; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
