Her last employment was at Weyerhaeuser in Mt. Pine, where she worked for 27 years, beginning in 1974. Throughout her life, she held various other jobs, including working at the shoe factory and a bakery, where she enjoyed baking a variety of treats and decorating cakes.
Those who knew Frances hold dear the fond memories she created. James recalls her delicious, freshly baked buttered biscuits, camping and cooking over an open fire in a cast iron skillet, and enjoying picnics together. He also remembers her Saturday specialty—wonderful waffles and smoked pork chops. Margaret Amanda fondly remembers sneaking away as a young girl to share a banana split at Dairy Queen. Terri recalls how every time she saw Frances, she would smile, and they would always find something to chat about. Frances was a loving and devoted mother to her children and a hard worker who dedicated herself wholeheartedly.
Her friend Cody shares a humorous memory of celebrating Thanksgiving on a day that wasn’t actually Thanksgiving, a moment filled with laughter and warmth.
Frances was loved by many and will always be remembered.
