Gayle Francis Keys was a caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, great grandmother, and friend. She left this world suddenly on February 11, 2022 at age 77. Gayle was born on February 22, 1944 to Gertie Mae Francis and James Willis Davis in Prescott Arkansas.
Gayle is survived by her husband of 44 years, John David Keys, two sons Adam Keys of Dallas, TX, Kristopher Keys and daughter-in-law Candyce Keys of Hot Springs, AR. Gayle had three grandchildren that loved her dearly, Brandon Keys (Kaitlin), Zoie Keys, Trent Keys, and one great granddaughter Piper Keys. Also, Gayle is survived by a brother and sister-in-law Mike Davis, Ann Davis, and their two daughters Kellie Cowan (Marty), Kacey Jenkins (Craig) and children.
Gayle had a passion for education earning her Bachelors of Science in Education at Henderson State Teachers College in 1965, and later furthered her education earning a Master's of Science in Education at Henderson State University in 1972. Gayle used her passion in education to work as a guidance counselor at Clements high school, Sugarland, TX and Cutter morning star school, Hot Springs, AR until her retirement years.
In Gayle's retirement she enjoyed finishing home improvement projects, even if the projects weren't her own. She was Gayle the builder and often the foreman of any Keys family projects. When Gayle wasn't helping finish a renovation, she spent time with her family. Gayle loved her family fiercely; no matter the need Gayle was always there to help her family.
A visitation to remember Gayle's life will be Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Gross Funeral Home from 5PM to 7PM in Hot Springs Arkansas; in lieu of flowers we ask for donations to the Henderson Foundation HSU Box 7550 Arkadelphia, AR 71999 In memory of Gayle Francis Keys.
