George Henry Daves Jr.

He was born April 4, 1940 in Hot Springs to the late George Henry Daves and Lydia Pauline (Howell) Daves Brown.

He was a member of the Grand Avenue Baptist Church and also attended OBU College. George loved to memorize the bible and sing gospel music with his mother. He had a wonderful singing voice that people will remember along with his smile.

George is preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandparents Walter Andrew Daves Sr. and Bertha Daves (Maddox), maternal grandparents Paul Howell and Fannie (Vaughn) Howell.

He is survived by his cousins Debora Ulmer, Eric Cannon, Sue (Howell) Graham, Sandra (Howell) Munos, Robert Howell, paternal Uncle Walter A. Daves Jr, and paternal aunts Luda Pearl Thomas and Bertha Irene Nichols.

A visitation will be held at Gross Funeral Home Monday August 1, 2022 at 6:00 – 7:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at Mount Tabor Cemetery in Glenwood on August 2, 2022 at 10am.
