Born in Malvern, Arkansas, Wayne was a beloved local musician known and respected by so many across the community. Music was his gift, and he shared it freely—bringing people together, lifting spirits, and leaving a lasting impression everywhere he played. He performed with several bands over the years, and in every group, Wayne was the rock—the steady presence and one of the most talented musicians on the stage. You could often find him playing all over town alongside one of his closest friends, Dean Agus.
Wayne loved good food, great friends, and the excitement of horse racing. More than anything, he will be remembered for his kind heart and the genuine way he treated everyone he met.
He is survived by his mother, Myrna Dean Crane; his father, JB Scott; his cousins, Jan Hopkins, Carole Harder, Robert Harder, and Dennis Rowell; and his second cousin, Gary Barber.
Wayne’s music and his spirit will live on through the countless lives he touched.
