Hattie Mae Jackson, 93 years young and loved, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on December 28, 2021. She was born November 9, 1928 in Bellville, Arkansas to James and Hattie Priscilla Harrison.
Hattie Mae was a member of Harvey’s Chapel Baptist Church for over 80 years where she also taught the Alva Mae Bradley Women’s IV Sunday School Class, she sang praises to her Lord through special music and in the church choir, served in the clothes closet ministry, amongst other ministries. Hattie Mae retired from K-Mart after 16 years of service as a sales clerk. She will always be remembered for her beautiful flower garden and bountiful garden that she and Marcus enjoyed sharing their harvest with their family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, Grandma, Gran-Gran, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Hattie Mae was given the warmest greeting at Heaven’s gate by her parents; her husband, Marcus Jackson, whom she loved and adored for 68 years; her ten older siblings; and her granddaughter, Mandi Jackson.
She is survived by her family members to join her at Heaven’s gate: her children and their spouses: Randy & Glenda Jackson, Sandra & Dennis Rawls, Karen & Steven Frost, and Mark & Genia Jackson; her grandchildren and their spouses: Kevin & Rachel Rawls, Amy & Chuck Ragsdale, Kara & Paul Karnes, Becky & Mark Mayall, Corey Jackson, and Sean Jackson; her fourteen great-grandchildren: Lily, Harrison, Jefferson, and Theodore Rawls; Taylor, Peyton, and Jade Ragsdale; Rawls, William, and Emma Mae Karnes; Hannah, Gavin, Katelyn, and Charles Mayall; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, December 31st at Harvey’s Chapel Baptist Church at 1pm with a celebration of life service immediately following at 2pm. with Bro. Tommy Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Scott Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Dale Kemp, Larry Vincent, Roger Tolleson, Stacy Jackson, Chuck Ragsdale, and Ricky Jackson.
Honorary pallbearers include Arkansas Hospice staff, Shirley Tabor, Buddy Leamons, Mike & Linda Dodd, and members of Harvey’s Chapel Baptist Church.
The family wants to express its deepest appreciation to Arkansas Hospice for the outstanding care they provided Mom especially her sweet and precious nurse Anna.
