Hazel was the glue that held our family together, she placed herself last in line and was always there to love and to care for us.
She was involved in the Garland County Homemaker's Extension for many years. She taught sewing, canning and crafts. She worked for the rehab making custom fitted corsets for disabled patients. She loved gardening, traveling, camping and fishing and she loved her family.
Hazel is survived by her son, Doyle Wayman of Las Vegas; grandsons Dustin Wayman of Steamboat Springs, Scott Wayman of Long Beach, Jonathan Wayman of Austin, Joel Wayman of Dallas, and Lance Wayman of Southlake, TX; granddaughters Devyn Bokos of Chicago, Tracey Pike of Carrollton, TX, Robin Beam of Hurst, TX, Kristin Atchison of Van Alstyne, TX, Ashley Wayman of Bedford, TX, and Holly Cates of Flower Mound, TX; nieces Ruthie Hatfield of Raytown Missouri and Karloyn Wayman of Santa Fe; and by many great grandchildren.
Hazel was predeceased by her Husband of 66 years and her son, Klen Wayman of Bedford, TX.
Three words that sum up Mom’s life: Thank You Mom!
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Hazel’s name to either: The Youth For Christ Program with the Oaklawn United Methodist Church, the Garland County Extension Homemakers Council or The Humane Society of Garland County, all three in Hot Springs.
