Imogene is pre-deceased by her husband of 53 years, Vernon (Shorty) Abbott; husband Claude (Jack) Kizer; son Randy Abbott; grandson Kevin Abbott; son-in-law of 57 years Bunnie O. Stewart Jr.; brother Dick Faulconer; sisters Ruth Sutherland and Margaret Davis.

Pallbearers include Danny Stewart, Ty Farris, Shane Sutterfield, Brad Abbott, Mike Abbott, and Richard Pope.

Honorary pallbearers are Scott Miller, Gene Watson, Frank-Dot R Pack-Cunningham, Nathan Burrow, Carol Ketring, Arkansas Hospice- Sherie, Ashley, Cheryl, and Chaplain John Moore, and a very special thanks to the Grand Ave Methodist Church “Threshold Choir”.

Imogene was born in Camp, Fulton County, Arkansas, August 30, 1927, to the late Sid and Margie Faulconer. She was the youngest of four children and graduated from Salem Schools. She briefly moved to Kansas City to work for Folgers Coffee Company. She married her WWII “Army Soldier Pen Pal” Pvt. Vernon L. “Shorty” Abbott. They were married 53 years until his death. The family welcomed a new member when she married “Grampa Jack” Kizer. She resided in Hot Springs for 78 years. She was a lifelong member of Oaklawn Church of God. She was a talented seamstress, sewing most of her own clothes. Her work outside the home consisted of jobs at Crawford Drugs, J.C. Penney, K-Mart, Central City from which she retired. She was proud of her family and as instructed by the Bible, “Raised them in the way they should go”. Imogene (Mema) at age 96, lived alone and independently until only a few weeks ago, she left this earth peacefully, while in her daughter's loving care, on November 8, 2023… The 25th Anniversary of her husband’s death. Together again for eternity.
