

J.M. Eslick, 81, of Hot Springs passed away Monday, April 11th, 2016. He was born August 16th, 1934 in England, Arkansas to Robert Roy and Floy Bewley Eslick. J.M. was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He cherished his friendships developed during his tenure as president of the Hot Springs Cruisers Car Club, and Treasure Isle POA. He loved spending time with his family, traveling, and boating on Lake Hamilton. Antique cars brought him a lot of Joy, especially his 1968 Ford Ranger. He was a 32nd degree Mason, and served our country in the United States Army. He retired from Hoerner Box (Stone Container) after 32 years of faithful service. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Leon Eslick. Cherishing his memory are his wife of 59 years, Rita Miller Eslick; three children, Donna Schwaller (Gary) of Benton, Arkansas, Larry “Buz” Eslick (Susan) of Benton, Arkansas, Carol Denham (Brian), of Sherwood, Arkansas; grandchildren, Tyler (Taylor) and Rylee Schwaller, and Ben and Cruz Eslick; sister Nancy White (Don); one great grandson, Hudson Kade Eslick; and countless friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 13th, 2016 from 4:00 until 6:00 pm in the chapel of Gross Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 9:00 am, Thursday at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander with Don White officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Larry “Buz” Eslick, Ben Eslick, Cruz Eslick, Gary Schwaller, Brian Denham, and Jim Stanton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Potters Clay Ministries.
