Chris was a true outdoorsman who found some of his greatest joys in fishing, hunting, and spending time on Lake Ouachita. He was strong, capable, hardworking, and someone who could fix, build, or create just about anything with his own two hands.
Chris was a gifted welder and fabricator, taking pride in his work and in doing things the right way. He was also an exceptional artist with a natural eye for detail and a talent for creating things that reflected his creativity and craftsmanship. Whether he was working in the shop, out on the lake, or enjoying the freedom of a motorcycle or dirt bike, Chris was happiest doing what he loved.
His two girls, Lauren and Emily, were his pride and joy. He leaves behind a legacy in the things he built, the art he created, the places he loved, and most importantly, the lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Those left to cherish him are his daughters: Lauren Belk (Taylor) and Emily Harvey (Steven Henderson); grandson, Dawson Belk; sister, Kim Harvey Ward; niece, Micah Alred (Trey); nephew, Zac Ward (Amanda); great nieces and nephews: Lucas and Mia Alred, and Andrew and Atreus Ward; life-long friends, Kelly High, John Hodges and Shane Morgan; and a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Barbara Harvey; and grandparents, Mary Lou Melugin “Granny” and Cleveland Melugin “Papa”.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 11:00 am at Gross Funeral Home with a visitation starting one hour prior at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens.
