Joe Philip Woods

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joe Philip Woods, a USAF veteran who exuded an unyielding spirit of fun, honesty, and dependability. Joe was a beacon of positivity, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he met.

He departed this world peacefully in his sleep on September 15, 2023, after bravely battling cancer. His beloved son Ty and loving wife Angela were at his side.

Joe was predeceased by his parents W.P. Woods and Gertrude Woods and his son Lance Woods, who left a daughter, Lindsey Woods.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Angela Woods, son Ty Woods (Lindsey), and grandson Jack Hargis, daughter Heather Buckley (Aaron), grandchildren Ezra and Pixie Rodgers, Daughter Holly Galowitsch (Craig), grandchildren Maxx and Sarah Lindsey, Nathan, Logan, Kaitlyn, and Colton Galowitsch, daughter Cherie Blackwell and grandsons Aiden and Brady Blackwell, sister Janette Caldwell (Randy), and brother Gary Woods (Sherry).

The family would like to express their gratitude for the overwhelming love and support received during this difficult time.

Joe’s legacy will forever live on through the lives he touched, his many friends, and the laughter he shared.

We invite all to celebrate Joe’s life and the remarkable journey he had, reminding us to love deeply, laugh heartily, and live each day to its fullest.
