
John Bartholomew Messina, 61, passed away on August 4, 2026. Born in New York, John lived a life marked by independence, determination, and a love for his family, his Cane Corso dogs, and personal interests.
John was a graduate of Chapel Academy and built a career as an entrepreneur. He took pride in his work and was known for his entrepreneurial spirit. Outside of his profession, he was an avid gun enthusiast, a hobby that brought him much enjoyment over the years.
Raised in the Catholic faith, John valued the principles instilled in him throughout his life. Above all else, he will be remembered as a loving son whose family meant a great deal to him.
John was preceded in death by his father, Bart Messina and his aunt, Marg McArdle.
He leaves behind his mother, Patricia Messina of Hot Springs, Arkansas; brother, Joseph Messina of Hot Springs, Arkansas; his sister, Teresa Messina of Hot Springs, Arkansas; his nephew, Nicholas Messina of Little Rock, Arkansas; his uncle and aunt, Joe Messina and Mary Ann Klein; his aunt, Toby O’Brien and his cousins, Michael McArdle, Jeremy Dittus and Diane McArdle; as well as other extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.
John will be remembered for his enterprising spirit, his passion for the things he enjoyed, and most importantly, the love he had for his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
