Mrs. Karla Clinton Searcy

Karla Clinton Searcy passed away in her sleep July 17th in Bend, Oregon. She was born July 28, 1940, in Hot Springs, to the late Raymond and Mary Selma Clinton. She graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1958 and attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 33 years, Larry Searcy. Karla's family meant the world to her and she is survived by her two loving daughters, Muffin Pearce (Allen) and Sandy Searcy (Michael Spragg); four grandchildren, Sean Bauer, Alyssa Bauer, Reid Bartell and Savannah Spragg; a brother, Raymond (Corky) Clinton, Jr. (Kim), a sister, Mary Ann Clinton Wasson (Field); niece and nephew Trey and Elleyna Clinton; niece Angela Wasson-Hunt and nephews Field Wasson, Jr., Karl Wasson; and many cousins. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 25, at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. (Dr.) Lacy Sellars officiating. Pallbearers will be Sean Bauer, Reid Bartell, Trey Clinton, Field Wasson Jr., Dan Clinton, and Roger Clinton. Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Clinton, Fred Loyd, Al Carney, former President Bill Clinton, Mark Middleton, Roy Allen Clinton, Jr., Allen Pearce and Mike Spragg. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Arthritis Foundation. Arrangements are by Gross Funeral Home.
