Katherine E. Krebs, 95, of Hot Springs passed peacefully on March 22, 2018. She was born on August 28, 1922, here in Hot Springs, to the late William and Myrtle Newman.
Katherine, a former Mrs. Hot Springs, was incredibly creative and a talented artist and poet. She had many paintings hanging downtown and even had a book of poetry published.
In her younger years she worked as an employee for the federal government and spent time working in the Pentagon on congressional investigations.
Meeting Katherine in the next life are her parents; her husband of 40 beautiful years, Frank R. Krebs; siblings and son-in-law, Robert Pike.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Nancy Pike; son, Drew Echols (Sue); step sons, Edward Krebs (Suzanne) and William Krebs (Midge); seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Per Katherine’s request, the family will have a private interment.
