Kelley Jeanne Scott-Hill, 37, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones on February 26, 2026, after a courageous nine-year battle with cancer.
Kelley was born June 15, 1988, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Brian and Karen Scott of Glen Rose, AR. From an early age, Kelley was known for her fearless spirit, quick wit, and deep compassion for others and especially animals. She had a natural ability to make people laugh, often quoting movies at just the right moment, and her sense of humor remained constant throughout her life.
She is survived by her husband, Eric Hill, and stepdaughter, Carly Hill, of Hot Springs; her parents, Brian and Karen Scott of Glen Rose; her parents-in-law, Carl and Valerie Hill of Fort Smith; her sister, Katie (Jordan) McInvale of Bentonville, and her nephew, Henry; her sister, Michelle (Alex) Latsko of Florida, and their children, Charlotte and Brady; her brothers-in-law, Adam Hill and Ethan Hill (Ceci) of Fort Smith and their daughters, Andi, Blakely and Demi; along with a large extended family and countless friends who became family along the way.
Kelley loved her family and friends fiercely, and she lived life with an adventurous spirit that carried her across the world. She especially treasured her travels to National Parks all across the United States, particularly Yellowstone and Zion National Park, always chasing adventure, searching for wildlife (wolves, moose and bears, oh my!) laughter, and meaningful moments with the people she loved most.
Kelley proudly served her country in the United States Army and served a tour in Iraq. Her service reflected her courage, discipline, and commitment to something greater than herself — qualities that remained evident throughout her life.
Kelley had a lifelong love for animals. Since childhood, animals seemed to find their way to her, and she never turned one away. Over the years she cared for and rescued countless creatures — including opossums, raccoons, squirrels, ferrets, dogs, fish, and most recently her six beloved cats. Most precious to her was her beloved German Shepherd Sara.
Above all, Kelley’s faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life. She led with her faith, trusted God through both joy and hardship, and loved her church family and Bible studies deeply. Her favorite verses were from Proverbs.
For nine years, Kelley faced cancer with extraordinary courage. She demonstrated a level of strength, perseverance, and grace that inspired everyone who was lucky enough to cross her path. She fought relentlessly, but more importantly, she lived fully — with humor, faith, love and adventure.
Throughout her illness, Kelley was surrounded by extraordinary love, especially from her husband, Eric, who cared for her with unwavering devotion. The family is also grateful for the many friends, relatives, and caregivers who supported her along the way.
Kelley was fearless. She had a will stronger than circumstance and a heart full of compassion. While her family grieves the loss of more time and adventures with Kelley, they also rejoice in the certainty that Kelley is now healed, whole, and at peace in the presence of her Savior. They hold tightly to the promise that they will see her again.
A Celebration of Life will be held at New Life Church in Hot Springs on Saturday, March 7th, at 11:00 a.m.
Forever #KelleyStrong.
