

Leland Dale Hignight, 72, of Bismarck, Arkansas, passed away at home on January 17, 2025. Born on July 27, 1952, Leland dedicated four decades to his craft as a bricklayer, a testament to his hardworking and meticulous nature.
Leland was a devoted husband to his wife, Libby Hignight, and a loving father to his daughters, Shannon, Sara, and Melissa. He was also a cherished grandfather to Kyndall, Karlee, Alex, Alyssa, Laron Jr., and a great-grandfather to Rylee-Anne, he is also survived by his brother Shelby Hignight, and extended family. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Neland and Loretta Hignight, and his sister, Bonnie Hignight-Hamilton.
A graduate of Lakeside High School, Leland was known for his strong work ethic, which was evident in both his professional life and his personal passions. He was an avid Harley rider, finding joy and freedom on the open road. His love for gardening was unmatched; he took immense pride in his lush garden and vibrant flower beds, often spending hours nurturing his plants.
Leland's hobbies extended to creating lasting memories with his grandchildren, sharing with them the joys of nature and the thrill of life on two wheels. His presence was a source of strength and inspiration, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
