Lorraine Garner

Emma Lorraine Garner, born in 1929 near Macedonia, Iowa, peacefully passed away Monday, September 8, 2025. After graduating high school, Lorraine moved to Denver, Colorado, where she met her first husband, Ben Garcia. They shared 20 wonderful years together until his passing in 1987. Following this, Lorraine relocated to Arkansas to be closer to her beloved sister, Carol.

Lorraine's adventurous spirit led her to travel extensively, during which she met and married Carroll Bumpass. Their union continued until Carroll's death in 2009. Lorraine cherished the relationships she built along the way, forming many lasting friendships and dedicating time to volunteering in her community.

A true animal lover, Lorraine found joy in the company of her cherished pet cat, Zoe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Anna Tharp, her sister Carolyn Epperson, and brother-in-law Russell Epperson, Sr.

Lorraine is survived by her nephew, Russell Epperson, Jr. and his wife Sherri Epperson, along with her great niece Kristi McMichael and her husband William McMichael, and great nephew Russell Epperson, III and his wife Jessica Epperson.

Her warmth and kindness will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. In a life filled with love and adventure, Lorraine leaves behind a legacy of compassion and friendship.
