

Louis Theron Brodrick Sr., 80, of Hot Springs passed away Wednesday November 5, 2014. He was born in Tulsa, OK on November 7, 1933 to the late Harold L. and Vasilikey Doolos Brodrick. Louis was a graduate of Lakeside High School and served in the United Sates Army. While in the Army, Louis served time in Korea, as a body guard to a General, and as a paratrooper. He was known for his honesty and he was a very good man; to him a handshake meant something. Louis loved to be active, and he had many special hobbies which included, traveling, antique cars, history and genealogy, working overseas, gardening and mowing grass (he loved a good tractor!), cooking out and entertaining guests. Louis was also a supporter of the community; he served on the board for the Boys and Girls Club and as President of the Optimist Club for 2 terms. Louis was also a faithful supporter of the Sisters of St. Michaels. Louis was predeceased by his parents, and those whom are still cherishing his memory include; his loving wife of 60 years, Geraldine Powell Brodrick, daughter; Nevada Diane Hall (Ken), two sons; Louis Theron Brodrick Jr. (Tracy) and Michael Warren Brodrick (Cherlyn), eight grandchildren; Dr. Zachary (Jessica) Brodrick, Chase Brodrick, Amie Vache’, Lindsey (Travis) Henley, Leslie Myers, Logan Myers, Nick (Shannon) Brodrick, Jake Brodrick, and one great-grandchild; Pepper Nevada Henley. Services will be 10:00a.m. Monday November 10, 2014 at First Christian Church-Hot Springs, officiated by Rev. Kevin Robbins under the direction of Gross Funeral Home. Honorary Pallbearers include: Ray Kinsey, Scott Hutchins, Terry Clemons, Dr. Zachary Brodrick, Chase Brodrick, Nicholas Brodrick, Jake Brodrick, and Logan Myers.
