

She received her Highschool education from Cutter Morning Star and went on to study Cosmetology where she practiced as a beautician up until a few years before her passing. Margaret had a full and adventurous life with lots of travel including living in Okinawa, Japan alongside her cherished late husband C.S.M. Virgil L. Bennett of Hot, Springs, AR who preceded her in death in 2007.
She had a long career of 52 years as a clerk/supervisor at Oaklawn Racing and Gaming. She received commendations such as employee of the month and employee of the year during her tenure there.
Margaret is preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters and survived by one brother. Margaret is also survived by her three children, Rickey Bennett Sr. (Tina), Judy Pultz (Pat), and Donald Bennett (Kelly).
Margaret is preceded in death by one grandchild and survived by 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and an abundance of great nieces and nephews.
Margaret was greatly revered and respected by all those who knew her and will be missed as a friend to so many and as the great matriarch of her large and growing family.
Pallbearers include Mike Howard, Arron Edwards, Scott Edwards, Don Bennett, Michael Stallman, and Jack Bennett.
Honorary pallbearers are Kim Clatworthy, Jimmy Edwards, Rickey Bennett Sr., Dr Bruce Murphy, Dr Stibich, Dr. Lendell, Dr. Whorton, and Dr. Hollenbach.
A visitation for Margaret will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Gross Funeral Home, 120 Wrights St, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71913. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 10:30 AM, 120 Wrights St, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71913 with Pastor Lamar Trieschmann officiating. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Morning Star Cemetery, 3200 Spring Street, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71901.
