

Margie Elaine Watts Kostopulos, 86, of Hot Springs, passed away on August 31 at Woodland Heights Senior Living in Little Rock.
Margie was born on March 23, 1940 in Monroe, Louisiana to Robert and Ethel Watts and grew up in Monticello. She was a 1957 graduate of Monticello High School and a 1960 graduate of Louisiana Tech University. She worked in healthcare as a Registered Dietitian for 60 years.
Margie married Sam Kostopulos in 1964, and together they lived in Phoenix and Los Angeles before settling in Hot Springs in 1978. She will be remembered for her wonderful cooking, her love of dogs, and her loyalty and devotion to her family.
Margie is preceded in death by her husband Sam, her parents Robert and Ethel Watts, and her brother Millard Watts. She is survived by her two children, Christina Kostopulos and Dan Kostopulos (Jessica), three grandchildren, Sam Kostopulos, Kate Kostopulos, and Nina Peterson, a sister, Mary McMahen, and several nieces and nephews.
Her family wish is to thank the staff of Woodland Heights Senior Living and Gentiva Hospice for making Margie’s final days comfortable and peaceful.
In accordance with Margie’s final wishes, she will have no funeral; instead, family and close friends will gather for a private memorial at a later date.
