Mary Pinkerton Andrews, 64, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025, at the home of her daughter, Maria Pinkerton-Richardson.
Born on March 9, 1960, in Little Rock, Mary was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Lawrence; her guardians, Georgia Mae Dotson and Allen C. Johnson. Mary leaves behind her three cherished children: Angela Morgan and her husband, Mark Morgan; Maria Pinkerton-Richardson and her husband, Jacob Richardson; and Aaron Andrews and his wife, Bri Andrews. She is also survived by her adoring grandchildren, Shayla Richardson and Brooks Andrews; her siblings, Vicky Little, Eric Hanson, Charlene Caswell, George Hanson, Melinda Reeves, and Kathryn Kerr; as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Mary’s presence was larger than life. Known for her vibrant personality and her love for bold jewelry, she had a way of lighting up any room she entered. In addition to spoiling her grandkids, she enjoyed cheering on her favorite football teams, treasure hunting at thrift stores, and loving on her dog, Izzybell, and grand-dog, Gizmo.
She was an active member of many churches throughout her life and, in her later years, found great fulfillment at St. Luke’s Episcopal. She graciously volunteered her time at the Hot Springs Warming Shelter, then hosted by St. Lukes and First United Methodist. She would have loved to volunteer this season at their new permanent location on Hobson Ave.
A memorial service celebrating Mary’s remarkable life will be held at Gross Funeral Home in Hot Springs on January 18, 2025, at 4:00 PM. A viewing will take place prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations of time, funds, or goods to the Hot Springs Warming Shelter at 109 Hobson Ave.
